Actually regular flu shot is even much much safer than swine flu shot. Swine flu shot is a drug which has never been proved. It was only developed at the early clinical trial stage. The exposure of swine flu shot to public is an emergency interim oder of the Minister of Health. This kind of order could be taken back any time if any serious adeverse reaction happen. That's why it ever could happen that Health Canada changed the dosage for 3-9yr kids in so short time.

But the problem is swine flu is much more dangerous than regulor flu. Some people can recover without any deteriorate. But it really can deteriorate to some one in 24 hours, that's why some young kids died so fast. I had my girl vaccinated cuz I am afraid young kid can not tell the deteriorate symptoms in time, such as shortness of breath, or pain in chest. So balancing the risk of swine flu and swine flu shot. I chose the shot.

Regular flu is different. Usually it won't threaten life. All vaccines are harmful to kids' immunity system in some degree. Plus, every year regular flu shot is always determined by the flu bateria of last year , which can mutate very quickly. So I don't see the benefit of seasonal flu shot can outweigh the risk of taking it.
